Hi,
I know to really get a true value you need pictures of the stock and receiver. Don't have those at the moment but looking for a rough estimate or range.

OK here's the details:
1. Heavy Octagonal barrel
2. I think it is a 24" or maybe the standard 26"
2b. Oh yeah caliber: 32/40
3. Marlin 1983 Serial Number 119xxx, which says production around 1895 (Does that sound right?)
4. Smooth wood stock, Crescent butt plate (Metal). Stock and butt plate Looks original. with some re-staining done somewhere along the line. Lots of character marks from years of use!
5. Receiver is smooth but heavily speckled (My guess is the original finish breaking down. Does not look like its been shined up, though)
6. No rust on the barrel and the action is smooth.
7. Full length magazine.
8. Crown looks excellent and bore good. Didn't get a light to look so can't give a % at the moment.

Hopefully this will be enough to get a ball park figure from one of the experts. Been looking to add to my lever collection. This might be one worth adding.
Thanks for your assistance.
