Anyone here collect Vintage George Lawrence Leather

I am just nuts about the older Lawrence leather, and have collected a good deal of his gunbelts, holsters, bandoleers, and you name it...

Quality like you dream of, and as simple or complicated as your pocketbook ~ back in the day....If you want to know what a good rig looks like, pick up a nice older Lawrence Rig. That will be the baseline for judging quality. I compare even the newest, best recognized leather to the old standard of that company...

I'm not a "collector" but I just bought a beautiful holster by them Wondering abouts its history etc. Has model # 79/502, leather is like new and so well made! It has molded to fit my .357 like a glove

George Lawrence was a favorite of the late Elmer Keith, who carried guns as a daily event in the days before cell phones and modern vehicles. The designs were not sexy and racy, but they were functional, useful and well assembled.

I grew up in Portland, Oregon, where the George Lawrence Company was located. In all the time I lived there, I only visited the store once - long ago. I regret not going there more often, but I was just a kid.

Just on the line of trivia, George Lawrence also was an auto parts distributor, retail and wholesale. You could buy a holster and spark plugs and stuff.
