My father just gave me a Savage model 25 .22 pump rifle. It's an old octagonal barreled rifle. My grandfather had it before him and possibly my great grandfather who I think my grandfather got it from. The date stamps for the patent on top of the barrel is 1906, 1915, 1915, and 1916. That's about all I know about it.

I'll post up some pictures tomorrow as I've just finished cleaning it up (the lead came out in the cleaning solvent like mud) and I'm heading out the door to go shark fishing.

It's gotta be old, heck Savage was formed in 1894...And it's got a big screw on the right side of the receiver above the trigger guard that holds it together as the receive spits down the middle to take it apart.

Thanks guys, I posted on the Savage board. We'll see what they know.

I doubt it's worth that much, the savages don't hold their value like the Winchesters do.
