I held one yesterday. I love it, expensive but a neat gun. Just wanted to see what others think.

I've got 3 that are supposed to be arriving anytime now. I'm excited.
:)

I'm a bad judge

I like most guns so I'm not the best judge of weapons, I think they bring $1600 which is high(don't know what we have on ours) takes AR mags and has a good look and feel to it. They are on sig's homepage under rifles and new products. Might turn some people off but kind of reminds me of the old Dae woo guns look not function.

I held one today. It was like holding the air or a unicorn's mane.

Oh, wait a minute, I was holding the air.;)

Yeah, we'll see them anyday now.

Good thing I did not hold my breath in 2005 when they were to be out in early 2006, or was it April? Or June? Or October? Begin shipping December 11th? Or is it February 11th? Or are they with the XGIs? If I order a ZIG556 do I get a free XGI?

I held the pre-production ones they had at last years NRA convention. They balanced really well. The mag release was too far forward for my tastes. I like that they got rid of that ugly elevated rail on the production versions. Too bad about the front sight situation and that they had give up the quick change barrel feature.

El T, I'll gladly ship one to you, at Unicorn prices. Should have mine any day now... any day... (looks around) any time... come on...

I put a mag through one a few weeks ago...it's a nice rifle, most definitely a change from the typical AR fare, but I can't get over the AR-style stock, and the funky fore-end. Give it a folding stock, and a classic 551 integral bipod, and I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Trigger/trigger pull seemed very similar to the 551, and the ambidextrous safety worked fairly well, but wasn't as comfortable/natural as an AR's.

El T, I'm going to post here as soon as I have one in my hands. :) Say the word and it is yours. I will have it delivered by Swiss Gnomes.
