I sent my App in to the ATF for my C&R FFL. Also, dropped the CLEO form off at the local PD.

So, I need a bound book... Id rather not buy one, anyone have a good PDF of all the things they track? I saw a generic one somewhere on the web, but wanted to see what you all use.

Any recommendations on things to prepare for? Aside from draining my savings?

Also, anyone have a solid list of vendors that sell to C&R and ones who offer discounts?

BTW... here is my list so far

91/30
CZ 82
Swiss k31
P64
German 98K
Albanian SKS (If I dont find a Paratrooper model)
Polish m57
Cz52
East German Makorov
TT-33

Any others that need to be added?

You mean for the first week? No, that's a pretty good list.
Here's next week's:
Luger
P38
Type 99 Arisaka
3 different Enfields
2 different Mosin carbines
Nagant
Then start a list of US C&Rs.

I use an Excel spreadsheet for my bound book. I can even print out a copy if I need to. Cost is $0.

Use the search function, and there's a list of C&R dealers to send your license to. Lots of good buys out there. Have yet to get a gun with my year-old license, but this month there'll be a Spanish Mauser with my name on it. After that maybe an SKS of some kind, a .308 Enfield and a pre-64 Winchester 94 or old Savage 99. Not super interested in blowing tooo much of my money on old guns (though it is appealing, hehe), but more into the rad discounts from Midway and Brownell's. I saved my $30 in my first order by getting a few (as in $50) parts for a 10/22 I rescued.

I also use the one from Surplus Rifle. You might want to add a Yugo M24/47 or M48. It has the same overall feel as the K98 but they tend to be in much better shape. I've an M24/47 that looks brand new as it was rearsenaled and then put into storage. I'll also add a +1 to a Nagant revolver. They're dirt cheap and I find them a lot of fun to shoot. If you don't already have one, you might consider an M1 Garand or an old 1911 as well. Enjoy your C&R!

I thought the point (and a law) was to have a physically bound book, that way pages can't be added or removed easily. I've never had an license, that's just what I assumed I guess. Is that not correct?
