Just got my C&R application in the mail, couple Q's:

1. Where does it say how much the total application fee is?
2. Where does this need to be notarized?
3. Who is the CLEO, and what is this person's address, etc?

Would I send it to:

Not a reply, but yet another question... where / who do you request a C&R application from (address)?

It would be nice if some here who have obtained one recently could give some of us who wish to do so some tips & help - thanx

You are confusing the Maryland Collector form with a BATFE Curis and Relic License. The MD form is recognition from the state that you are a collector and therefore exempt from the prohibition of 1 every 30 days for restricted firearms. The C&R is the license that you need if you wish to purchase certain firearms classified by the BATFE as collectable. As such you would not need a Class 1 FFL.

I believe that the correct address for mailing the MD collector form is the Firearm Division in Jessup. Also note that as far as Maryland is concerned for the seven day wait the C&R is worth bumpus.

Note I have not yet gotten collector recognition from MD, but I do have my C&R. My wallet is thinner due to it.

The address to mail the CLEO notification for the C&R is in Montgomery Cty, the MoCo Police in Rockville.

I got a C&R license in Maryland and It's no big deal.
I just wrote my credit card # into the blank, the fee was $30 or $35 I can't remember which.

I got my application notarized at my legal office at Aberdeen Provong Ground. You probably can go to the County Court House.

The CLEO is most usually the County Sherrif. Just send him a copy and make sure you sign it. It is a courtesy to him. He doesn't approve anything that I know of. His office files the paperwork.
I was confused a bit when I seen my application but just read the document all of the way through and follow the directions in it's entirety. Make sure that you don't sign where the approving official is supposed to sign.
When your application gets approved you will get a big book in the mail. This is the list of C&R authorized Firearms. You will also get your License. DO NOT SIGN THE ORIGINAL . Make dozens of copies and keep one in your wallet.

Then go to this thread and mail out a copy to these companies.

For me, that has been an exercise in futility. I still spend the same amount of money, just end up with a bit more ammo and supplies thanks to discounts.
 
C&R license holders in MD need to be aware of some quirks in state law.

A MD holder of a C&R license cannot legally import a regulated weapon (handgun or "assault rifle") into the state for transfer. Only a holder of a MD regulated firearms dealer's license can do that, and MD licenses will not be issued to Federal C&R license holders, only to Federal dealers license holders.

So, as a C&R license holder, you can have a C&R item that is a regulated firearm (i.e., a modern handgun - few "assault rifles" fall under the C&R definition) shipped to you, but you cannot then sell it to anyone, not even a Maryland dealer. The only way around that is to ship the gun out of state, then have it shipped back to a MD regulated firearms license holder. So, for handguns and "assault rifles", the C&R license is effectively void in MD; it is not recognized for any purposes within the state, even for transfer of C&R items to another C&R license holder.

Other C&R items, such as bolt action rifles, are no problem, since the state law does not concern itself with non-regulated firearms.
