I'm wondering about the approximate value of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle that my grandfather brought home as a souveneir from WW2. The rifle itself is in fairly good shape- no pitting, no rust. Stock dosent have any major scratches or dings, and is dark red in color. It seems the "mum" was ground off, but i have the matching bayonet (less the frog), and somewhere i have the dust cover and magazine spring but they have ben misplaced for years. it is an early war model, with metal buttplate, folding rear sight, and has the complete front sight with side plates still intact, and is NOT duffel bag cut. Any help would be great.

Assuming you find the missing parts, the rifle would probably bring around $250-300 with the bayonet. Collector interest in Japanese rifles has always been low and is only now picking up a bit.
