Can anyone reccomend a place to get my RRA Match rifle rebarrelled? It's for service rifle matches. TIA !

It takes a receiver block and armorer's wrench, about $40-$50 all together.

Much easier than shipping it off somewhere. BSW

i bought these tools from midway total shipping and all was around $85 remember you need a 1/2 drive tourqe wrench also

I was also wondering how come you do not need to check the head spacing on the rifle. all these do it your self threads no one ever mentions headspacing. is it because you dont need to do it or what

You can "check" the headspace after you install an AR barrel.

I know of no way to "adjust" the headspace during the install.

There is only one way to install an AR barrel, and it either turns out right, or it doesn't.

In more than 99.9% of the installs, the dimension is correct when you measure it after the install.
If its not right, it isn't because of anything the installer did. In that case its a manufacturing issue.

White Oak Armaments - there's been a waiting list on barrels for awhile, but they're worth a phone call to check. They'll also install the front sight block with set screws and you might want to have the rear sights pinned for another $55. Excellent work and good folks to deal with.

Compass Lake also has a good rep among HP shooters.
