I started this topic last time I went to the range and first experienced the cycling issue with a newly put together AR 15.

Basically I have a new AR 15, 20 inch barrel, and it does not cycle the bolt back far enough to pickup the next round - in other words it is - short stroking. I tried factory ammo since the above issues. With factory ammo Remington UMC it cycled great. With wolf steel case it would short stroke it also did so on my reloads. I also had a stage model 3 with us and confirmed it cycled fine with the reloads that the newer AR woukd not. Basically right now I am pretty sure that I need a different weight buffer to make it cycle properly. Can anyone tell me if a heavier or lighter weight buffer would be better?
