I think didnt describe the problem well enough, its not a JET of gas, but i could feel it on my face (still shouldn't be happening, even on a cheap ar) the gas definitely made my eye itch and burn, but i am thinking now the burn was because of the powder. (the factory 223 stuff didnt have the problem)
Tirod, thanks for the help but one of the M16A2 i used at knox did have the same problem, it got annoying when i was aiming at the 300m pop ups. the others i shot were fine. If it is timing, how does one fix this?
The Del ton is a 16" by the way. We'll give it another try this weekend and see if the problem is still there with the 5.56 surplus.
