I want to put a scope or Red Dot sight on my AR-15. It's a Colt AR-6721 with a detachable carry handle. I am looking to get something anywhere from 1x to 4x magnification and I want to spend less than $200. Does anyone have any ideas on a good sight/scope that will stay zeroed and is built well?

I have been looking at ATN Ultrasight, Yukon Advanced Optics Sightmax, Tasco ProPoint, amongst some others.

Does anyone have any experience and/or stories about any of these sights or can suggest something else and whether they are good on a AR or bad?

a colt 4x21 illuminated reticle with ranging hash marks out to 500 yards. mounts & remounts to same zero through hole in carry handle. might get lucky and score one used for $200. built in bullet drop compensator to 500 yards also.

For that money I would put a SPOT optic and splurge on a Larue Mount for it

For another $150 you could have an aimpoint

And A high end AR deserves a high end optic IMO

I was planning on taking the carry handle off to put the scope on, does the Bushnell Trophy MP come with a mount for the carry handle or for the rail?

Weaver 1x3. Faster than irons at 1x and works well target shooting at 3x. Cheap, clear and dependable. Have used one for years on a 308 HK91 clone and love it.
