Am considering purchasing an AR 180B, would appreciate any input that you may have about this rifle from any of the THR's that may have had direct experience.
Thanks :)

I would pass. Armalite seems to be working on updating the 180b and from what I've gathered the AR180B is not combat-reliable.

But if you just want something different for collections sake or for fun, go ahead!

I like mine a lot. I've never had any reliability problems with it, but then again I've never taken it out into "combat."

Armalite showed a flat-top AR-180B with flash supressor at the SHOT show. That's the one I'd wait for.

I owned one shortly. It was completely reliable but it broke in half at the pivot point between the upper and lower reciever when I was firing it. Armalite fixed it but I lost faith in the polimer reciver they were using and sold it. Armalite (AKA Eagle arms) has major quality control isssues. I also had a problem AR10T I had rebuilt by GA Precision. I will not buy another Armalite product. Another thing to consider Armalite of today is not the Armalite of the Eugene Stoner era. That company went under. The name and the name only was purchased by Eagle Arms a low quality AR maker on par with Olympic Arms.
