I have a 16" DPMS Lo-Pro upper and a Roggio receiver.
I did a function test today because I just bought it off a guy and it would load a round, fire, but fail to cycle completely. I would have to manually cycle the bolt to chamber another round.
That was using winchester brass rounds but with wolf steel case the rounds would lodge into the chamber after being fired. It was a BEAR to extract them. In fact, there is a spent casing lodged into the chamber right now that I just gave up on. The case I pulled out before it had a long strip down it where the coating was completely scrapped away from dragging it out of the chamber.
My cousin had another upper for his AR so we took the upper off of mine and put his on my lower. We put my bolt in his upper and it wouldn't cycle but with his bolt it did cycle. When we used his upper, with my bolt, and my Roggio lower it would fire and strip a round but would not extract the round from the chamber forcing the bullet tip into the primer of the spent case still in the chamber. With his upper and bolt on my lower it functioned perfectly using both the winchester and wolf ammo.
We then put my lo-pro upper back on with his bolt but it wouldn't cycle properly. When I put my bolt, upper, and lower back on I fired two rounds of winchester that I had to manually cycle and then there were two rounds of wolf. One fired but it lodged in the chamber and that's where I am right now.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
