AR15/M16 courses in TN

Yeager and his great staff Tactical Response Inc www.warriormindset.com have graciously agreed to swap ranges with our staff at www.thedefensiveedge.com . In basic simple words we will be doing a rifle course in Tennessee, and Tactical Response Inc will be doing a Tac-Pistol course at the Defensive Edge facilities in Minnesota.

The Defensive Edge staff will be doing a 2-day AR15/M16 Rifle Armorer course on July 31-Aug 1, and a two day Intensive Defensive Carbine course August 2-3. These will be held at the Tactical Response Inc facilities near Ft. Campbell KY/Clarksville TN. We have put the following prices toghether for those that wish to attend, and a special price for all Highroaders that wish to attend all 4 days.

AR15/M16 Armorer, July 31-Aug 1 $250
Defensive Carbine, Aug 2-3 $295
All Four days combined $400 (the highroad discount)

Please check our website for registration and questions, or check with www.warriormindset.com , and don't forget to shop at www.lightfighter.com for all your gear needs.

Here is the final plans:

July 31-Aug 1 : AR15/M16 Armorer $250
Aug 2-3: Defensive Carbine $295

HighRoad Price for all 4 days: $400
My plan is to do an extra 4 hours on the range on Aug 1 if possible to make this a great course.

These courses will be held at Yeager's new facilities in the Clarksville TN area. Yeagers web: www.warriormindset.com

The Armoring Course will cover a complete disassembly and reassembly of this weapon system, headspacing, rebarreling, trouble shooting, basic and detailed maintenance, ballistics, sight in considerations, parts identification and differences, custom accessories, firing pin protrusion, chamber polishing, trigger jobs, chamber inspection, etc. It is a full two days of material.

The Carbine Course will cover bladed and forward facing standing positions, one handed shooting, roughly 15 shooting positions, strong side and weak side shooting from cover, 3 types of forward movement, rearward movement, 4 types of sideways movement, rapid deployment movement (my favorite to teach), reloads, malfunctions, team reloads and malfunctions, hammer fire, controlled fire, automatic fire (for the class 3 equipped), CQB, single point sling positions, 2 point sling positions, 3 point sling positions, etc. As you see it is a very intensive couple of days. We will start out at a standing pace and rapidly speed up and end up on a sprint toward the end of the course. Expect to learn lots and be worked.

Sully,

What do we need to bring to the 2 sessions and what will ya'll provide?

Mike

I lack the time to post a detailed review of the courses which I've attended in the past, but I'd like to re-state my very favorable opinion of sully's knowledge AND ability as a trainer to impart his knowledge.

HSO,

For the armoring course all you need to bring is an AR15/M16 type rifle. We will supply all tools and manuals etc.

For the shooting poriton, bring at least 800rds rifle ammo, a couple of mags, sling, eye and ear protection, handgun with holster and 100rds, and an open mind.

These courses will be very full of lots of info with very detailed manuals for all. You might want to make some notes as well as there will be lots of info put out.

Not to hijack Sully's thread but if any of you in MN have the time to train with Yeager I highly recommend him. He knows his stuff and provides a great training experience.

Jack19,

Yeager and I have traded courses at each others facilities. I am doing the carbine course in TN, and Yeager and his staff will be doing a Tactical Pistol course in MN in August. Both of us believe it is extremely important to have our students train with other credible instructors, that is why both of us and our staff get along so well and we have decided to assist our students to get exposed to other trainers and courses that we know would be of benefit. Besides this trade of courses allows the students to keep travel expenses down while getting trainers from other parts of the country.

Say it isn't so, Sully.

I received an email today saying the class is canceled due to a lack of interest. Is this true?

What, were you and I the only ones to make a comitment for the courses? Heck, I even got some Lake City out to use.

Not Dead, Just POSTPONED. We need more people to pre-sign up to make this happen. We had lots of people who stated that they would come or were interested, but only two actual registrations happened. If people want this training then we need more to sign up and commit in advance, so we know that we can at least make expenses. If we can make expenses then we would do the course, but I cannot send our staff out to teach a course that would put us way in the hole for expenses.
WE WILL LOOK AT RESCHEDULING FOR LATER THIS FALL.
