those are outstanding mags. as good as they get

I buy cheapo mags, replace the springs with Wolff ones and the follower with the magpul version. Never had a problem.

Quality aluminum USGI type mags like you posted are just fine.

Also recommend Lancer L-5 mags as well as Pmags.

I have personally had good luck with Cammenga Easymags, but not all have.

That protrusion is annoying for some uses but also makes them easy to pull out of a mag pouch - at the same time it makes them harder to cram into a 2 or 3 mag side by side type pouch.

Am I the only one who finds the protrusion on the bottom of the Pmags annoying?
it doesn't bother me.

i like pmag a lot ever since i bought my first batch of them, i am gonna take them on my next deployment as well. however good GI mags are good to go too, there are many good companies out there to get them from and they are relatively inexpensive, with that said for $2.50 more a mag i can get the p mags.

the main thing is don't get attached to your mags, if they don't work or they give you problems get rid of them. no matter what kind they are.

Pmags.

Since people started using them at rifle matches I rarely see mag related failures, unlike the good old days of aluminum USGI mags, which always sucked, just we didn't know it because we didn't have mags that worked right to compare them to.

I think the new Magpul Emag has less of a fat bottom if it's that disturbing to you. BSW
