do all colt ar15 rifles have a chrome lined bore and chamber including all colt hbar (heavy barrel) model rifles, such as the colt 6600, 6721 and 6920?

i know the 6920 does (it's not an HBAR by the way). i think all others do except the 6724 with the stainless bbl.

could be wrong though. hopefully someone else with more knowledge will chime in.
 
I don't want to hijack your thread, but I've heard Colt is only making ARs for LE only. Budsgunshop.com lists them, but has none. If someone with Colt AR knowledge can answer your question, maybe they can tell me whether there are new (non-used) Colts on the market available to non LE customers.

I've seen Colts on gunbroker that are engraved with an LEO/Military only stamp. Wonder about owning one of those.
 
that stamp (rollmark) means nothing. they are not exclusively sold to LE only. the model you are probably seeing is the 6920le carbine. unless your state has specific restrictions, it's perfectly legal to own.
 
so then the colt 6600, 6721 and 6920 all have chrome bores and chambers; doesn't the c on the barrel verify that a particular colt ar15 rifle does have a chrome bore and chamber as well?
 
i have yet to find any colt ar15 rifles including the colt 6600, 6721 and 6920 without the c stamp on the barrel which is supposed to indicate that it is chrome lined as well as the colt 6520 which is actually listed as having a chrome lined bore and chamber although which only had the c stamp and no cb or chrome bore stamp, i would venture to say that colt is perhaps only using the c stamp now to indicate chrome bore and chrome chamber possibly, as opposed to the cb or chrome bore stamp?

Unless something has changed recently No, The Colt stainless steel match rifles are not chrome lined neither is the Colt 7.62X39 barrels. Not sure about 9mm barrels. Otherwise all other Colt AR-15 barrels use chrome lined bore, chamber. Including 6920, 6721.

FIW, From a reliability stand point. A bolt carrier that has a chrome lined bore is also very important. Never seen a Colt bolt carrier that did not do this. Look at more than a few aftermarket bolt carriers that fail to do this important step.
 
very well, don't all colt ar15 rifles also use a 4150 chrome molly steel barrel and chamber as well, which along with the chrome lined bore and chamber would be very resistant to corrosion, fouling, pitting and rust?
