Hello first build question, I have everything i need to do my first build (pliers, screwdrivers puches, ....etc) except for the stock wrench? Anything I can use as a substitute, pipe wrench??? Maybe some kind of wrench lowes or home depot has???

I am in the Cleveland area, does anyone know of anyone local that might have a stock wrench???

Thanks
Jim

Plumbers strap wrench usually can work in a pinch especially if you are trying to put it on vs. take it off. You can use a pipe wrench if you wrap the nut with something that wont mar the nut finish. The actual stock tool is only like 5 bucks on Amazon, order it today, tighten with a strap wrench and a drop or two of locktite for now and when you get it in the mail re tighten. You can always stop by your local gun store and see if they will tighten it for you.

Also, the ARs I've built I used the taped vise grip method to get they pins in instead of a punch, which I find works better and is safer to set instead of with a punch...but that is just me. This is described in a post over on ar15.com.
