Are the Tikka actions the same size?(No short or long actions)

One size stock fit all T3's?

no they're not the same ,I have a 223 its a short through,308s and the likes will have there size action, and the longer ones. will have there own,

I know savage was like that, one size fit all..Im not sure if they still are like that or not,,My buddie has a savage in 223,, and its a long action with some sort of block,

I was wondering if a 243 stock would fit on a 6.5 swede action.

If I buy a 243, I want to swap the stocks.............if they will interchange.....

The bolt throws are different, but the receiver length is the same on all Tikka models. The difference is that for short action cartridges, they have it set up so you only have to do a short throw of the bolt. They bolt does not go all the way to then end of the receiver.

This is different than most manufacturers. This is a little cheesy from an engineering standpoint, in my opinion. It means your short action rifle has to be a little heavier and bulkier than it otherwise would be.

So, with Tikka you might as well pick a long action cartridge.

Called Beretta today and they told me that all stocks would interchange on the T3's.

But if I swapped stocks, it could affect my MOA, and it would void the warranty.

and it would void the warranty.

Sounds about right for Beretta'a horse*%# service. I've been dissapointed everytime I've called them. One has plenty of time to think when on hold for 15-25minutes.

243 with the synthetic would be my truck gun shooting 65 grain handloads. The 6.5 is my deer gun. Think the stainless and wood would look good together. The 243 with the synthetic can survive the life in a truck:)

Have not bought the 243 yet. Trying to find a good deal somewhere. Want something with a 1 in 10 twist to handle the lighter bullets. Thought if I went with another Tikka, I would mix things up a bit

My Tikka is a .243 in a stainless laminated stock confguration.
Whenever you go to do some loading stuff for the .243 I have alot of data that may help you get started in the gun. My load of choice is a 55 gr Sierra in front of a Federal match primer and 44.0 grains of IMR 4895, and an 87 gr. Vmax with 50 gr of N560. Each load from a COLD bore with 3 shots is between dime to nickel sized groups at 100 yards, bolt unlocks easily and primers don't show any flattening.
