Arizona guys and gals, anyone a member at cowtown range?

I love desert shooting on blm land but holy heck im tired of dealing with the general population out there. Drinking, smoking weed, overhead mag dumps for the 'gram. I used to have weekdays off, and would go out and have the range to myself, but now I only have sunday off. FNG day...

Ive been going to ben avery, but get tired of just punching paper. They wont let me on the steel target 300 yard range because I only shoot contenders (pistols) dispite many ROs trying to ask if I could because they watch me drill groups at 200 on the main range, I'm not allowed, rules are rules.

So I've been considering a membership to cowtown range, but need to know a few things.

How hard is it to reserve platforms on sundays and will they allow "pistols" on the long range platform? I shoot 200 yards offhand at steel frequently, and rested go out past 500.

I will call them to confirm, but would like to hear from actual members how hard it is to reserve the long range platform on a Sunday AM. I would hate to get a membership only to be told its nearly impossible to reserve the long range platform, and that they only allow rifles on it.

You should come up to Payson on sundays at the Jim Jones shooting range if you get there early you pretty much have the range to yourself they have the pistol ranges and the rifle 100 200 300 yards dues are $50 a year

I'm glad you started this post, as I live 5 minutes from Cowtown, and Can't find any real info. I have left 2 voicemails, no response. I am getting a bit tired of paper too. My neighbor told me they have a tactical range where you can shoot from behi d barriers, multiple steel silhouettes etc.

I believe membership is $400 per year?

If I didnt work 6 days a week I would hit that range up every weekend before camping on the rim.

4something. I worked it out to 35$ a month. Worth it for dudes like me that want to shoot every weekend. Im not sure about the tactical range, im really just after the long range platform and pistol bays
