So as we all know, the new Bill coming out of Arizona gets rid of Arizona law that infringed upon the Constitution:

Now that SB 1108 has been signed into law, to become effective later this year it is interesting to hear where some of the harshest criticism is coming from.

Of course, this certainly tells us who actually supports the 2nd Amendment, and who is just out to make $$ off of infringing it. Here's hoping these comments of theirs do alot of damage to their businesses!

Waaaaaaa If they are able to exercise their RTKBA well lose money! Waaaaaa

Cry me a river:neener: that's one hell of a way to talk about your customers.

I haven't heard anyone talk out of both sides of his mouth like this since the last political speech I heard. Oh, wait... this is a political speech.

Wow... those are instructors I will never support.

I like though how they are worried about these "nutcases" acting stupid with their guns because they dont need a class.

Just like all the "nutcases" acting stupid here while open carrying..... wait that doesnt happen.

What I didn't get about before this law was why so many Arizonians got their CHLs? The state was already open-carry friendly, so the people getting the licenses were probly getting them for the reciprocity. Which they'll still need a license for anyway.

I really don't think they'll see that much of a loss, but it's still sad to see how some people put their $$ over other's Constitutional rights.

It is OK to infringe on your rights, because we are creating jobs... I think .gov should sit up and take note, because this is what "regulation" does. Every time they pass a law, this is the consequence it creates.

Think of it this way, if you need a license to date, then that creates a revenue system and bureaucracy that will react if threatened, even though the bureaucracy itself is unconstitutional.

While the state as a whole is pro open carry, many residents are not. I have been harrassed on a few occasions by people because I was OC.

Not to bad mouth any members here or generalize, but its usually our former Californians. We have had a huge influx of people from Cali in the last decade or so. They realized they could sell their homes in Cali and move here and buy bigger houses for cash.

With this huge migration many of the brady bunch have come over with the shooters.

When I was living in Prescott Arizona a few years ago I go my CCL from Insight Firearms Training and I took many other classes from them afterward. The instructor is top notch and I learned a ton by taking his classes. However I did receive the email from Insight urging me to not back the bill being proposed to allow non-permit ccw. I was very disappointed because I knew this was completely financially motivated, he knew that the passing of this bill would cost his business money and decided that was more important than improving upon our civil liberties by allowing for less restrictive gun laws to go into effect. As much as I want to go back and take more classes at Insight I have a tough time bringing myself to do so after getting that email.

I took (paid) the AZ CCW Class a number of years ago and agree that it was, in my case, just legalized extortion. I didn't learn a thing that I didn't already know. The instructor even gave us the written test to "practice" on the day before the "real" test. (He bragged how nobody ever failed his class.)

I also agree that there are those that should take the class, but to make everyone pay the fee is just wrong. Let me audit the test (both written and shooting) for a nominal fee (Not the whole $100+) and if I fail, then I have to take the class.

Thats how parasites work, they destroy their original home, and turn it into a craphole, then move out to get away from all the problems they helped create and do it all over again

Wow, amazing that when you take away money from a person, their true colors come out.
Maybe all the trainers and companies can call Obama, and get a tax payer bailout.

I hope someone will compile a list of these instructors who were against this so the people can finish the financial job by withholding every dime from their business.

A CCW Instructor bailout? Hey, stranger things have happened!:uhoh:
I have had pretty good luck OC over the years in AZ, but I got my permit the month they became available, same reason, some of our "visitors" and "guests" become weak in the knees and faint at heart when they spot a lawfully carried sidearm that doesn't have a uniform and badge attached to it.
Tell 'em to relax, and go have a Starbucks.

Will Az still offer an ability to get a CCW license like Alaska? If so then Az can maintain reciprocity with other states so Arizonians can till carry outside Az.

Nothing new. Many dealers were opposed to the AWB sunsetting. You never know who is own your side until it affects the wallet.

I first thought, "ahhh, yes, greed."

But I'm sure those instructors have suffered more than their fair share of fools, idiots, jerks, and incompetents - none of which are disqualifications for CCW here in AZ. Maybe if they provided solid figures of how many people flunk-out of their courses their opinions would have more weight.

I support Constitutional Carry, but I wanted to play the Devil's Advocate.

edit: Jellyjar, yes, AZ keeps its CCW licensing laws for just that purpose. I think there are a couple of other perks like being able to carry into an establishment that sells libations, so long as the carrier doesn't ... libate?

Anyway, since OC is legal here, CC just means, legally speaking, you won't go to jail if your shirt or jacket covers your sidearm.

C-Grunt, I don't disagree with you but I think you slightly misunderstood what I said..

I meant that people who are already getting their CHLs are mostly getting them for reciprocity. Since Arizona already permits open carry. So, after this passed, they still need the CHL if they want reciprocity. Which this bill doesn't affect. So I don't think they'll be out that much from this bill..

thats like a lot of registered MG owners

They dont want the registry reopened lest they lose money

Id happily lose money if it meant more freedom for us

Yes, we can still take the course and get CCW permits as before. It is just no longer required to carry concealed in state.
