Ladies and Gentlemen, we are very proud to announce that the New Jersey Coalition for Self Defense is now officially ready for operations. We incorporated under Nonprofit status, and are very excited about our upcoming meeting, where we have a great many things to discuss.

Who should be there:
Anyone who thinks that the laws in NJ favor the criminals, and place normal law-abiding citizens in jeopardy... anyone who believes that the political landscape in NJ needs to change dramatically.

Place and Time:
Buckeye Gun Club, Sunday April 27th, 1PM. Lunch will be provided (pizza and beverages). The Buckeye gun club is located at 501 Route 72 in Barnegat NJ (about 20 minutes South of Toms River).

Also, please understand that we are willing to move our meetings around the state to different locations, so we can bring our message to like-minded people in other areas, provided the loction can support our group. If any of you have access to a large conference room, or auditorium, please let us know, so that we can accommodate those who are not able to travel the distance to Barnegat.

What we'll be covering:

Where we are, where we're going

Who's who in the zoo (our organizational structure)

How the NJCSD is different, and why we'll be successful

Membership packages and benefits

What you can do to help

What we'll be doing:

Membership sign-ups

Raffles for fundraising

Fundraising sales (NJCSD T-shirts)

Recruiting Volunteers for field work and committee chairs

We are also working on a guest speaker

Why you should come
If you have to ask, you're in the wrong forum.

It will be a good time for all, and we're looking forward to meeting again with all of you who have been on the board here, stirring the pot, to keep our community aware of just how wrong things have gone terribly wrong here in the Garden State. On behalf of the Board Of Directors, we look forward to seeing you all at our meeting!

Hey- You guys have all the moral support that I can give you

I lived in NJ from 91-97 and went to high school in Bernardsville
JerseyBoy was my pledge name in the fraternity house in college

I go “home†for Christmas break and I bring my beagle…
Well my mom now lives south of Flemington on about 20 acres and the fields are literally FULL of pheasants. So I was thinking I would bring my 11-87 back and take Travis (my beagle) out to drive up maybe ONE pheasant…

Well I am down here and I get on-line…
I need a permit just to bring a long gun into the state
Then an out-of-state small game license for three days was like $147 or something

I was like: “F**k That†(In a NJ accent)

The sad thing is that my grandpa used to tell me stories about South Jersey and walking barefoot in the pine barons, fishing in creeks, hunting all the time after school… He was basically a country azz kid just a few miles from Philly in Moorestown... he would have hated the current state of things

Now you get treated like a crap when all you want to do is try to drive up ONE pheasant with a very dangerous load of 6s in a standard hunting shotgun. Too bad they can’t draft a law that will differentiate between what they need to get under control (Glocks/Tec-9s/Pocket .25s... in Newark and Irvington) and what is actually harmless (11-87, hunting dog, pheasant, Hunterdon County)

Sad Days.............

I hear you JerseyBoy but the main problem is the inactivity of this states gun owners.

Now before I get flamed by the active ones in this state I will acknowledge that we do have people fighting the good fight BUT the amount doing this is the equivalent of a boy pissing on a 3-alarm fire. Very ineffective and you might hurt yourself in the process!

For all of you that read this, live in this state, and sit back and say "I'M AN NRA MEMBER. I DID MY PART." I say your living in a dream world. It is going to take hard work, sweat and tears to start to turn this puppy around. Not $35.00 and 5 seconds to mail off your membership.

"If your not helping out some gun organization in this state change things then YOUR PART OF THE PROBLEM not part of the answer. It is because of people like yourself that we have these laws in the first place because you just stood idly by and did NOTHING.

If this new group (www.njcsd.org) fails, it is because of YOU FELLOW NEW JERSEYAN so don't bitch later on when they are jamming SMART AMMUNITIION or some other cockamamie thing down your throat and you start to cry "We need to do something! We need to organize!" because that chance would have already passed you by.

The following people have started up this group and are former TFLers:

ROVERT, RAY WOODROW 3RD, GEEKWITHA .45, ANKLEPOCKET.

In other words what I am trying to get across is WE ARE YOUR FELLOW GUNNERS who have communicated over the years on TFL and talked and talked about the state we are in. As Oleg Volk has stated before:

"IT IS TIME TO STOP TALKING THE TALK AND START WALKING THE WALK."

So I put my hand out to you fellow statesmen/women and ask that you come along on this great crusade. Help us fight the good fight and start to take back the rights that have been wrongfully and deceitfully away from the law abiding in this state.

Yours in Liberty,

Raymond R. Woodrow 3rd

I left NJ for Pa 2 years ago and don't regret it. My old gun club was very active in RKBA issues and I was heavily involved. Too bad 90% of the membership couldn't be bothered.

Good luck on your new organization and I will contact some of my Jersey buddies and let them in on what you are doing, maybe I can stir up some interested people for you. Again, good luck.
