Has anybody ever heard of this? It's chambered in 5.56, takes AR-15/M16/NATO mags--and that's about all I know about it. A shop here in the city happens to have one, and one "feature" it has is the safety. Much like an AR-15 safety, with one position marked "SAFE" and one "FIRE", but the lever rotates a full 360 degrees... Aesthetically, the rifle reminded me of an AR-18, but with a carry handle shaped like the G36's scaled down to 1 1/4" tall by ~6" long.

The salesguys were joking/hinting about how it's a pre-'86, FA capable. With a sticker price of $2800.00, I'm not sure what to think (of course, they have Uzi Model Bs for $3,000).

Does anyone know anything about/Has anyone even heard of this rifle?

Well, the only thing I know for sure is that the GunsAmerica price is only $1099, not $2800...

Hinting? Joking? For that money, it had BETTER DARNED WELL be a transferable full-auto. Good weapon, btw. It's a worked-over AR-18 for sure and well worth the $900 that it should be priced at. If it's not a machinegun, you'd have to be smoking crack to pay $2,800.
