Most of the feedback I've heard on this particular brand of .45 has been pretty negative. A real POS?

Yea, real grade A P.O.S. until the threads on here from the last couple of months. Now all of a sudden it's the new Bersa. The bargain of the century! I don't get it.........

Auto-Ordnance/Thompson was bought by Kahr.

Supposedly they are committed to resurecting the brand name which was run into the ground when they were made by Numrich who sold what were generally poorly made parts guns under the same name.

Reports I've seen on the Kahr made AO are good, but Kahr's got an uphill battle on their hands to overcome the past history, perhaps not as uphill as Llama, buts its gonna be tough.

i baught anew auto ordanance under the kahr name the first time at the range with the first mag it wouldnt feed reliably and the fron sight flew off of the slide it didnt stay very long but i now have an auto ordnance general and its been nothing but reliable

Good luck to Kahr. In the old days ('80s & '90s), it was "Run Away! Run Away!" in the Arthurian tradition (as interpreted by Monty Python).

Yeah, mine was from the late 80's and it was not very good. Some of the new ones I have seen seem to be the same, but others seem pretty well made. Time will tell, until then I think I will stick with Colt, Springfield and maybe Dan Wesson.
