Three of them! Below is a message I sent to someone a few days ago:

Just wanted to update you. My friend and I settled on a load that was good for accuracy and velocity out of both Marlins and both Blackhawks with two bullet types (given some small compromises between the two). The 265WFNGC bullets and the Nosler 250gn JHP both performed admirably at 19gr. 2400 with std primers. Further testing in cold and hot weather just kept building confidence in these choices.

Long story short we both took a cow elk this year with the Marlins using both bullet styles. I took a 3-4 year old cow that was very heavy using the WFN bullet. Two shots were'nt needed, but taken anyway.
First shot quartering slightly away went through and through and would have finished her, but she stopped trotting and turned broadside, so the second shot broke the upper foreleg on the offside (shattering a bone that was equal to a quarter in diameter) before exiting. She dropped right there and boy was I pleased (my first Elk!).

My buddy used the WFN and followed up with the JHP (indecision on his part, so he loaded every other round like: WFN,JHP,WFN etc.). He shot a 2year old smaller bodied cow twice.

No bullets recovered. We are very pleased with the performance under 100yds for these light rifles and the bonus is a lot less wasted meat than the older cow shot with a 30-06 (factory Remmy core-locked) by the third member of our party.

All in all a great hunt. It took us two days to get the de-boned meat into vacum sealed bags and into the freezer, since there were 3 elk...but that's a good problem to have!
