After spending some time overseas and moving a few states I got back to reloading after a 20 month break. First loads were for my new 9mm XDS, XDSC and CZ Skorpion. Picked up where I left off experimenting with 95gr.
95gr Speer TMJ from RMR at 1.030"
6.0 and 6.4 Longshot
7.6 HS-6
It was interesting to learn that my two Springfield pistols with the same length barrels preferred differnt powders. The XDS prefers Longshot and the and the XDSC prefers HS-6, while the CZ ate everything, but seemed to do best with the Longshot. Oddly, my XDS didn't like 115gr FMJ with 4.9 of 231, which has been my go to load with my XD9s. Also noticed another instance where Hodgdon loads can be significantly higher than Lyman. lyman max for HS-6 with a 95gr is 7.0 while Hodgdon max is 7.8.
Overall, just happy to be back at the bench and on the range.
