WASHINGTON, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Who are the bad apples of the gun industry, and why does Congress want to protect them? On Wednesday, July 16, at 11 AM, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence United with the Million Mom March, in partnership with the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, will host gun violence victims from across the country who have come to urge members of the U.S. Senate to stop S.659, the so-called gun immunity bill. The Brady organization will also release a list of the ten worst gun dealers in America, according to federal crime gun trace data -- dealers that would get special legal protection.

That means the Brady Couple, Schumer, and 8 more people?

It is unclear what Brady's beef is about here. If certain dealers are selling weapons illegally, shut them down. If they are selling legally, but a high percentage of those guns are later used in crimes, what sort of "profiling" would Brady suggest the dealers use? Race? Gender? Age? Really, I'm curious. What groups does she believe are predisposed toward violence and thereby must be treated differently (discriminated against) under the law?

Gun owners and anyone else who recalls that the 2nd Amendment exists.


Her husband got shot, and now everybody must give up their 2nd Amendment rights as a result of her resulting mental breakdown, her break with reality, and her subsequent hoplophobia.


The irrational behavior of the Brady's after the shooting makes me wonder where they thought they were when they travelled with the President, whether they ever considered the possibility it might be dangerous to do so, and if they ever stopped to ask themselves just why were all those heavily armed folks with the microhpones in their ears standing around the president.

Actually, my point was that these groups are going after dealers whose sales end up being used in crimes more than other dealers' guns. Now, assuming the sales are to legally qualified individuals and the dealer has followed procedure, these groups are obviously arguing for some sort of "profiling" of potential buyers. I'm seriously wondering what criteria they suggest. Race? Income? They obviously think the seller should be able to discriminate between one legal buyer and another, and deny service to someone based on some assumption of their potential for illegal activity. I'm just wondering what factors they believe should factor into this discrimination.

Obviously, if you're just a commoner, you shouldn't be allowed the privilege of owning guns, which is reserved for law enforcement officers and limousine liberals' body guards.
