Thank you for the test. Velocities appear much lower than we have come to expect from 7.62X25, but at least they penetrate some.

A bit inconsistent, but decent expansion without overpenetration.

Better than I expected.

JE223 - Thanks again!

I think the round is probably fine for SD, but the gun(s) which fires it may or may not be suitable. There's a big group of people waiting for a modern pistol to be chambered in 7.62x25.

Not bad performance, though the velocities seem pretty inconsistent to me.

Again, fascinating information from these tests. I would have expected more FPS and a bigger splash in the gel. As it is these are closer to what I'd expect from my 1895 Nagant.

It would be nice to have more results through denim

So we knew which was the more likely result...plugging and no expansion

or decent performance

All in all....no better than the better 9mm loads

fletcher - Yeah, I understand the inconsistencies some experience with the CZ-52. I have no personal experience with the Tokarov so I can't comment on them.

My particular CZ-52 has run flawlessly so far and fits and presents from my CrossBreed IWB (designed for the 1911) very well.

Since I prefer skinny guns like the '52, the results of the test present an interesting carry option (for me).
