ok, i understand (well, to some extent at least) how barrel vibrations affect accuracy on single, bolt, and autoloader rifles. but i am curious about lever action rifles. they have the tube magazine attached to the barrel in one form or another. so how does this affect it? is there any way of changing the barrel vibrations on a lever gun? i know that the amount of ammo (theroreticaly anyway) can affect the point of impact. will that also affect vibrations? it would seem to me, that it would almost have to. also, what about the affect of a muzzle brake on the vibrations. adding length and weight should affect it somehow, again, at least theoreticaly. i realize that my lever guns will probably out shoot me, unless it is from a bench/rest. it is just one of those curiousity things.

Well there is the theory of Optimal Barrel Time, where you try and match accuracy nodes for a given barrell by the time the bullet leaves the barrell.
More details here

This is also the reason that tuners are popular.
I have used OBT to try and figure out what loads are potentially accurate, and then tweaked from there.
