okay. normally i go to the only local powder dealer around me. hes about 10 minutes away but the prices are a bit too high. after paying 25 bucks for a lb of win 748 and another 2 bucks per hundred federal primers i just had to start either shooting less or finding cheaper powder.

so theres a bass pro 20 minutes away from me. i give em a call on the phone to see what they have. they only stock hodgdons, but at what i thought were phenominal prices. 14.99 per lb of universal! now im not sure if the shock just hit me because i was used to paying so much, but this is definatly a step in the right direction. and even better primers are only about 1.50 per hundred there and i actually can choose the brand!

i'll still knuckle up and buy some of my guns from the guy, he is a family friend, but i almost puked on sight when i saw he had an oly arms plinker plus with a price tag of 1500 bucks on it.

i mean i expect to pay more, but triple? come on!

Yeah, you really ought to be giving a lot of business to that family friend. Does he furnish the K-Y, or do you?

To support my local guy..

I'll pay a buck or three a pound more, just to say hi and discuss 'the weather'.At ten bucks higher,I don't know him.:)
His cast bullet prices are less than what I can get them for on the 'net so overall he's the one that gets my money. Most shops and 'box stores' around me stopped carryng cast bullets at all.:(
