Bauer .25 owners... how do you get Baby Browning mags to work? Is it even worth it?

I'm beginning to realize the shotty workmanship on these guns, especially since PSA's website is even listing that they refuse to work on these anymore due to vast tolerance differences and poor quality parts... regardless the magazine that came with mine is not functional for some reason (even PSA's website said something to the effect of magazines should be replaced EVERY FIVE YEARS... and some absurdly low amount of ammo (100?) should see the firing pin and recoil spring replaced...) anyways I got a Baby Browning mag as I was told they work in these guns since they are essentially copies. I inserted it, seemed alright, slide came back alright, then couldn't get the mag out until I field stripped it and tapped it out... I am told if you file certain areas they will function fine. Anyone know WHAT areas? I used calipers to compare mags and there seems to be almost 1.5mm of size differences in all dimensions but it seems hardly worth the time and effort filing and or sanding the ENTIRE MAGAZINE'S external surfaces to get it to fit and function... given what I am reading and hearing about these, should I cut my losses and try and trade it to someone for something else or sell it or what? Or does someone who owns one know exactly what to do to make the Baby Browning mags work? The mag it came with won't even hold a round properly, it clings to it and is virtually impossible to get out, even if you bend the feed lips out a bit or try to adjust it, and it won't strip a round if you rack the slide it just jams.

Found some aftermarket Bauer magazines online:

gunpartscorp.com (Numrich Gun Parts)- $48.55
triplek.com- $35/$38
gun-parts.com (Bob's Gun Parts)- $35

I would try to either sell or trade the Baby Browning magazine and then try one the aftermarket ones. Maybe their tolerances are slightly different than that of a Browning mag and so might fit a Bauer .25 better.

Thanks, I actually ended up taking a dremel to a few places though and while it fits and seems to function (I cycled a few rounds, yes I know not the best or safest thing to do but it was pointed in a safe direction,) it's still a little tight. It'll do the job. Too bad Ebay banned my account for trying to sell the spare damaged Bauer mag though. Tried to tell me it was "machine gun parts" LOL but that's another story.

Gee my Bauer is a 1979 Granted I don't shoot it a lot any more. But mag is always loaded. I take out every year or 2 fire the mag empty Clean reload and back in safe . Still original mag and recoil spring I have never had a failure with the pistol Was carried back when I worked late at night downtown. No CCW in those days. , I went to a Beretta 950 because. I liked the tip up barrel and the hammer better. .
