OK gents, I've a "tactical" problem here which could probably use your inputs.
Being diabetic, and skipping the health history, I've learned that about the best thing that I can do is to go to an insulin pump. Skipping the technicals, that means I'll have to wear a cell phone sized unit 24/7, except for short periods for showers and a differing period for domestic pleasures, attached to an abdominal infusion site by a light plastic tube (think IV).
Now, since I CCW whenever I've pants on (outside the belt slide and a T shirt with a .40 USPc or CDS) now, I'm thinking that I can use this to an advantage, going to the belly band over the required 24/7, with the weapon/mags removed for sleeping, and the whole mess for the described activities. After all, that small device has to be with me, attached and working, all the time.
Comments are invited regarding the probable success of this plan, especially from anyone with the same problem I have to address. But if you use a belly band, please pass on your experiences, (short form, please) since I can better estimate my reactions if I've heard of yours.
Also suggestions regarding which one to buy, and the reasons for the choice, would be appreciated, since I'll have to buy two, with one in cleaning and one on the bod, and bucks is bucks!
Anybody sitting beside me in the same boat should do the mail thing: problems
like this, discussed in detail, have no reason to be in an open forum, but information, transfered willingly, is usually a very good idea.
