Belt fed AR-15 conversion

The Shrike has been in development for a few years. I have no idea if Ares has delivered yet, even after taking money a couple years back. You'll find that people's opinions of Ares aren't too high right now.

At $10,000 each, it's not worth it. There is no way a shrike costs even $3,000 to make.

The Shrike has been discussed ad nauseum over at AR15.com, Full-auto.com, and Subguns.com.

If you are interested in hearing all about it (mostly griping about the long overdue delivery), do a search at one of those sites. The Shrike has not been discussed very much at this site.

Since I don't have a full auto lower, a belt fed conversion is pointless. If I want something semi auto and belt fed, I'll spend $1k and get a 1919.

10k? Woo, I missed that somehow. It's still a neat idea.
I think I'd rather have a Minimi though. ^.^

Neat idea, but for 10,000 I would have to already own a full auto lower to truly enjoy. Belt fed and semi .22 would be fun, but not for that much money.

Here's another option....

A belt fed MG-34/MG-42 in 8mm Mauser for your M16 lower. A .308 version is available.
