So I recently misplaced my Kabar Dozier Thorn folding knife (I loved that knife.. :(). Since it's out of production, I can't seem to find very many places that have any left. I'm throwing around the idea of replacing it with a different knife, but I've been having trouble finding a knife that has the same level of elegance as the dozier thorn. I have found a few Benchmade knives that I think are pretty good looking, but I'm not just after a pretty face. I also want a high quality tool.

I like these knives in particular:

http://www.benchmade.com/products/product_detail.aspx?model=440

http://www.benchmade.com/products/product_detail.aspx?model=940TI-01

I think those knives look particularly nice, and I don't mind plunking down $200 for a knife, as long as I know there's quality there. I especially like the 960 model because it has a D2 blade, which I'm familiar with from the dozier thorn. But I'm not dead set on D2, so the others are options as well. The 940TI-01 is the prettiest of the bunch, in my opinion, but also a bit more expensive.

Also, where would you recommend purchasing any of these knives? Any online retailers you can recommend that carry Benchmade stuff? Thanks for any help.
