My go to load in my bolt action .223 for cyotes has been 27gr of Hodgdon BLC(2) with 55 gr hpbt. I have run out of blc2 and cannot find any anywhere but I did find a couple pounds of Hodgdon Benchmark so I bought them. Does anyone have any good hunting loads worked up with this powder? I have been told that a lot of bench rest shooters use it. Any info is appreciated.

In .223 I like Benchmark:

- 25.5 Grains and a 50 Gr V-Max
- 25.0 Grains and a 55 Gr V-Max

Both shoot very well in my AR(s) and bolts. I stick to the lighter bullets in .223 Rem with Benchmark.

Varget or RL15 for heavier bullets.

Benchmark has worked well for me too in my 223. Pick up a Hodgdon annual reloading guide. It will have reloading data for Benchmark.

I tried it in my 22-250 with 50g V-Max. I got erratic velocities and shotgun patterns in a gun that is 1/2 moa or better when I'm doing my part. I'll stick with 4007SSC or VV N150
