found a deal for a Benelli M1 Super 90 pre-ban tactical shotgun, rifle sights, non-pistol grip, with aftermarket accessories (DMW bolt handle, Nordic extension tube, tactical flashlight) and will throw in some ammo, for $1000 firm. Seller says he shot it maybe 4 times max.

My local gunshop is stocking the M2 tactical, new, non-pistol grip, with ghost rings, no tube extension, for $1069.

any big difference between the two? The M1 sounds like a good deal however you can never tell if the seller just shot it 4 times....I dont care for the extra accessories, just the magazine extension tube.

opinions?

I don't know much about tactical shotguns but ran across a used M1 field gun about a year and a half ago and have been very happy with it. As near as I can tell the M2 just has a redesigned stock. I guess it really depends on what the extras are worth.

Sonething about those prices does not seem right to me. $1000 seems high for a used gun. I paid $650 for mine. The $1069 seems low. Most are over $1200 here. But then again I am more familiar with field guns rather than the tactical models.

seller dropped his price to $900 shipped for the M1 tactical after I told him my dealer is stocking the M2 for just about the same as his gun. I was looking on gunbroker for a M1 tactical super 90 and all of them are going for over $1000 so this might be a good deal to jump on. However I don't like the rifle sights on the barrel. Ghost sights start at a minimum about like $150 to install. The magazine extension is good to have just because those alone go for like $75 and higher:banghead: It comes with all paperwork as well.

well still thinking it over.
