Hi again:

Understand that though the M3 is dual mode, it should preferably be fired in Semi-auto with the pump reserved for special and/or light rounds.

Nevertheless how does its pump action compare to the Nova, M500 or Remington 870.

That pump is pretty heavy and slow when I played with one. Keep in mind I only shot a buddy's once, it was flawless in auto.

Compared to the Moss 590s I have, the M3s in pump mode feel, to me, much easier and lighter. The spring under the handguard is very easy to overcome and helps in the forward motion of the stroke. Also a lot less play and rattling than the 590. It has a very distinct sound to it as compared to traditional pumps sounding less mechanical, which could be due to its track it rides on.
