I'm filling out paperwork for a Beretta 92FS this weekend. Love the gun, have shot it a lot at the range. I've done a few searches, haven't found too much info, but I wanted to know if anyone here has bought the conversion kits?
I've heard good things about the Ciener .22 conversion, which I'll probably get down the road for fun and savings.
But has anyone bought the 96 .40 slide and barrel and mounted it?
Is the Beretta 9_ frame exactly the same on both guns in their regular production? Any downside to the .40? I had heard from one person that the accuracy wasn't great.
The thought of one frame with 3 options is really appealing, but I was wondering if anyone had experience going from 9mm to .40 and if it was trouble free shooting?
The one write up I found through search did put it in a very positive light.
