Have been looking for an auto shotgun for awhile, found a beretta al 930 silver mallard in a pawn shop. Condition is 97%, looks very good. Gun shoulders well and I really like the weight. Price is $475.00 OTD. Not so much concerned with price as am with quality. I hunt everything from dove to pheasant. Never had a Beretta so I am concerned with durability, also would this gun make a decent trap gun? Barrel is 28". Thanks

I used to own one. 2nd most favorite shotgun I ever owned. I think you'll like it a lot, and especially at that price. I used one for years and had absolutley no complaints. I shot it well and it performed perfectly.

I ran across a good deal on a used Benelli and the Beretta started collecting dust so I sold it. Not that I didn't like it, but I like the Benelli just a little better and it's lighter weight and inertia system suit my needs as primarily a hunter better. If I were into shooting clay games a lot more I'd probably prefer the Beretta with it's softer recoil.

Beretta is the oldest continuous manufacturing company in the world and the oldest gun company in the world. They are the largest gun company in the world

As for being suitable for trap - trap is a very specific game that if you are going to shoot this seriously, then you need a trap-specific gun; otherwise, any gun can be used to shoot trap
