Looking to pick one up....hard to find in my neck of the woods...what is the going price for one of these and if you any of you have one, how do you like them? ...I was going to get a P22 or maybe a little revolver for plinking butt his gun really caught my eye in the looks dept....thanks

I don't own one, but have shot one on a couple occasions because my range has a rental. I am not a beretta fan and this gun shoots and feels like a beretta. Its more accurate than I am, but the trigger has the standard beretta mushy break I've experienced with most of their guns. Beretta grip geometry is there, but not a problem for me. I'd rather have the S&W 10-shot revolver or a nice Buck Mark myself, but thats me and your mileage may vary.

Oh and the one at my range tended to spit a bit at the breach. But thats probably a problem caused by it being an unloved range gun.

I too want to get one and will most likely get one soon. the best price you will find is $504 from onpoint firearms.

Actually, it's this Cheetah I was interested in....they had them last year for 350 at the LAPD academy and like an idiot, I left it there...

I used to have one similar to the pic that Serpico posted. Mine had a longer barrel with a barrel weight attached. It was a nice pistol, but my standard Ruger auto would out shoot it. I still like the looks of the things. Watch-Six

CDNN has many Beretta's on sale this month...

Additionally, they have the Browning .380 on sale for 329.00 (it looks just like the Cheetah).

I think that they are the same, maybe I am wrong....

Where did you get the barrel? I’ve been trying to find an extended model 87 cheetah barrel for a long time now. I’d love to know where I could pick one up.

Thanks, Dan

BTW: I don’t have a cheetah, but have always wanted one.

Got a nice pic of the 87bb (extended barrel) half way down the page

My 87 cheetah (extended barrel) has a little bit of a long slightly mushy trigger pull (single action). Its a fun little pistol and its a good pistol to teach new shooters. Its also easy to field strip.

Thanks for the link Tman. How easily does that barrel come off of the gun? Do you think the barrel could be chucked up in a lathe, the barrel weight turned down to a nice cylinder, and threaded for a suppressor?

BTW: Those are single action only pistols so I’ve heard. If so what up with the trigger? It looks like a double action / single action trigger to me.

Thanks, Dan

DT:
The barrel should come off easily. There is a screw on the underside of the barrel/barrel weight assembly which should loosen it so you can separate the barrel from the barrel weight assembly (though I haven't done it yet). I think that will leave a naked barrel. At least on my pistol it is single action only. Hope what I've written makes sense.
