Has anyone bought or shot the PX4 subcompact? Are there any out in a DAO configuration? What is the difference between DOA and constant trigger?
This seems to be an interesting concept but there is little written about the guns and very little on the Beretta website.

I believe that the PX4 sub compact is only available in the F type (DA/SA with decocker and safety). The C type (constant action) is a pre-cocked double action. The D type is a true DAO with a heavier trigger pull. The sub compact does not use the rotating barrel setup used on the full sized model.

I have both a full size and a sub compact PX4 both in 9mm. They have been flawless right out of the box. Even though it is small, I can shoot the SC all day long with no discomfort. Very accurate as well. The small rounded design is easy to tuck away however it is too thick to carry in a front pocket for any length of time (back pocket of blue jeans works better for those quick trips). I think they can be easily modified to "decocker" only and the safety levers can be changed to a slim design as well.
Just about the perfect gun in my opinion.
Good luck.

Just one more thought.... MAKster is correct in that the SC only comes as type "F". Only the full size PX4 has the constant action option. On that model the hammer is shaved down and can hardly be seen. Not sure of the term for that. Bobbed? I prefer the DA/SA type F but the constant action trigger gets pretty good reviews from the little I've read about it.
