Considering a Bersa 380 for a Summertime carry, especially after Mr. Camp's review. Couple questions if anyone acn answer.
Want to involve wife w/ learning to shoot properly. Currently have a CZ40B that will probably be a bit much for her to start with. Waiting on a Buckmark .22lr to arrive; this wil be the staring point.
1st:
How is the recoil w/ the 380 blow back?
Is it more than a 9mm Parabellum & less than .40sw?
Have never shot a blowback, but have heard the recoil is greater than a locking breach.
2nd:
I'm accustomed to riding the safety w/ my thumb/strong hand.
The Bersa uses the slide mounted safety w/ opposite directional control for safe vs. fire.
Anyone else use 'riding the safety' and gone to a Bersa style?
If so, was this easy or hard to adjust to?
Thanks
Steve
PS: Also considering a Makarov.
Anyone aware of Dallas/Ft Worth dealers that may carry a Makarov. Would like to hold and get a feel for one first.
