Best .223 ammo deal (1000 rds)???

On the box I purchased, it's called .223 Remington, and doesn't say Q3131A anywhere. However, it says "Made in Israel" on the back at the bottom, it has crimped primer pockets (circle crimped, not the 3-4 notches), and the cases are unpolished...you can still see the annealing discoloration.

WalMart is the only place I've seen those 40 round boxes. Gander Mountain by me had 50 round boxes for 8.49 or 9 bucks though, and I'll patronize them rather than the mothership anyday. :D

edit: Mr. Roberts reminded me....the 40 round packs DO have a winchester model number: USA223xxxx something or other. However, they DON'T have the "USA" circular logo on the front; there's a number sequence printed in grey/black there.

If it is Winchester, there will be a product code on the box. Since it is .223 ammo, the product code will probably start with USA223 and a letter/number combo. It is SAAMI-spec ammo.

Metric: k = thousand; M = million
American units: M = Thousand.
It gets really complicated when your prof says he wants 400MMkg/yr production of a certain chemical (400 million kg/yr).

If it has a TZ on the case bottom its more than likely IMI, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

A friend of mine has close to 1000 rounds of wolf through his bushmaster with no hiccups. At about the 900 round mark, I smeared fp10 all over the bolt carrier when he wasn't looking. Other than that he ran it dry the whole time.

"Will walmart sell you a case if you have the cash and a good excuse?"

Frontsight (a firearms training school) is located about 30 miles away from here. Many of their students call the local WalMart and have them set aside case lots of ammo for use in their courses. This saves them from having to fly with a bunch of ammo or transport a lot of ammo with them. And since this is Nevada, WalMart will be open no matter what time they pull into town.

My local Wally World said they could sell by the case, but there would be no discounts. A poster at the ARF site has the LC XM193 chron'ed at 300+
fps faster than the Israeli white box stuff...BUT the standard deviation was +/- 17 fps. That's pretty dang good quality control.
