Hey guys. I just got a Les Baer Thunder Ranch .223, and picked up the Leupold CQ/T scope for it. It's a badass scope, but it's 3x, and doesn't do the job at 100+ yards. This gun is capable of 1/2 MOA, so an equally impressive "long" range scope would be nice to add to it. I don't mind spending up to a couple of grand on it either. Let me know your thoughts on the best scopes out there.

On my 223 rifles I've used Leupold and Burris 3x9x40. But, if I had a couple grand to spend, I'd look at Zwarovski. You'll see the difference once you look through one.

You do not have to spend 2K for an outstanding scope.

During your investigation check out the Leupold Vari-X III 6.5 20X50mm Long Range M1 scope. This is an excellent high-power scope, allowing for much light and great magnification.

I have one mounted on my Remington 700 BDL and think it to be superior to any scope at its price.

Good luck
