Best Coyote Shell

Does anyone have experience with using lead free shot besides dead coyote shot? What about hevi shots speed ball in BB which is half hevi shot and half copper plated steel. They are a much more affordable option at around $1 per shell compared to dead coyote shells at almost $5, so I'd love to hear these are effective. If so, to what range?
 
I know it's not what you want to hear, but basically you get what you pay for. If you don't have to go lead free, #4 Buck works well with the right choke. I would prefer straight T of F steel shot over a mix with BBs. BTW, at 1/5 the price, how much Hevi-Shot do you suppose those mix loads from the same manufacturer have in them?
