Best Pachmayr for my Detective Special?

I'm going to be picking up a Detective Special Colt in about a month. The gun has a wooden handle on it but it's worn and I'd like something in a Pachmayr grip. Not sure whether to go with the compac grip or the gripper style. Suggestions appreciated.

The Compac it the most used model.

Colt also used the Compac as a factory grips on later Detective Specials.
The Colt version has Gold Colt medallions on them.

The Gripper feels better, but it's just a little too big. I feel the Gripper is more for the Diamondback, than the DS.
