Best powder for 10mm with lest temp sensitivity and long term storage?

I have decided to reload for my 10mm Glock 20. I have used to reload for a few years during my college times for my 9mm and 7mm Rem Mag rifle but have not reloaded in 20yrs but still very familiar. I want to load large numbers as in about 5,000 rounds once i have my load worked up. These will be SD rounds in the 165-180gr JHP variety either Hornady XTPs, or Gold dots etc.

Living in Jax, Florida, we have 100deg temp in summer and 30deg weather in winter. My two requirements for the powder are:

1) Temperature insensitive (if there is such a thing)
2) Low flash



Cost is really not a factor. I have heard great things bout AA#9, and no it is very low flash but not sure about temp issue. Blue dot seems to have a huge huge flash which makes it out for me. All inputs appreciated.

For near max and using XTP's, I've had some of my best loads with #7 and #9. With #9 just a tad bit better. Longshot has also worked well, as has HS-6. I liked Bluedot, but like you, the flash was a factor in not using it for SD.

For mid - practice loads, tite-group using Berry's plated 155's or 180's is tough to beat. All are very accurate in my G-20.

You'll save a ton of $ loading your own 10mm, especially 5000 rounds. New brass is a little scarce, but the last time I checked, Scharch - Top Brass had it in stock. I've used a lot of it and it's good stuff.

You might try loading up 50 - 100 rounds of several different loads, powders and bullets and select which performs best for you and your Glock.
The Hornady 7th edition is one of my "goto" manuals when using XTP's.

AA#9, and no it is very low flash but not sure about temp issue

I shoot max AA #9 loads from the AA online PDF in .44 Mag here in Alabama on 100 plus degree days with no problems, so I wouldn't think heat would be an issue.

It certainly is not "low flash". It may be better than some, but is a flame thrower compared to N110.

I do not load 10MM, so I can not help more than those observations.

I like Power Pistol in 10mm, I think it's pretty stable temperature wise. It does have some flash though.

You might look at Winchester Autocomp data.

It supposedly gives less muzzle flash then most, and certainly gives pretty good performance in the 10mm.

I have been loading for the 10MM ever since I was the first kid on the block to own a Colt Delta Elite. I have used the various AA powders and found them very erratic. Then I tried and settled on Alliant's Blue Dot and have never looked further for a different powder. Now I'm the only kid on the block with two 10MM's. Both Colts.

Silhouette from Ramshot is the same powder as the old Winchester WAP, only with a new label. I've used WAP data with Silhouette and it works fine.
