"BEST" Rail Light for a SIG P229 ?

Forgive me if this is a repeat, but I searched the forum and couldn't find any posts.

I'm looking for the "BEST" rail light for my new SIG P229. Please advise, and also tell my WHY you think your recommended light(s) is the "BEST".

Also, I've heard that the SIG Rail is NOT a true Picatiny (MIL-SPEC), and because of that some lights don't fit properly and cause the rail to wear. Please let me know if you've seen this problem, and if the light you're recommending will truly fit the SIG Rail.

I would go with a TLR-1 or 2. They have an adaptor that supports the SIG rail. Why? LED bulb for longer run time.

Just wondering if you had any luck finding a good light or light/laser combo that you were happy with for the P229? Did you try the TLR and if so did it damage your rail?

You'll have to navigate to the SIG Sauer chart.

You'll have to make your own mind up on "best". I like that the green laser is usefull in daylight and don't like the slow detach, though it is solid when on.
