Greetings,

Two questions about the Magnum Research BFR revolver in 500 S&W:

1 - The cylinder lenght is much longer than the 500 cartridge. Does it shoot something else than the 500 S&W caliber? Why is that?

2 - I saw Magnum research sell a wooden grip. I read, but I can't recall that the BFR revolvers have compatible grips with another revolver. Which one is it? Anyone tried another kind of grip than the one sold by Magnum Research?

Thank you

The larger cylinder was used because the smaller framed BFR's cylinder would be to short for the 500 Mag. Therefor that longer cylinder.

The extra length does not seem to affect the accuracy at all, mine shoots very accurate.

The BFR use to be compatible with the super Blackhawk, but no longer. They are different grip frames.

Magnum Research also sells a black Micarta grip for the BFR.
