would you rather shoot a BHP or CZ-75. I am on my third HP and I have never fired a CZ-75. thanks

I have a .40 BHP and a 9mm CZ-75. They're both nice guns, but if I had to choose I'd go with the Hi-Power. It feels better in my hands, and has a better trigger (heavier, but cleaner breaking). It looks nicer too.

I own both - I'd take a CZ. Fits my hand better, higher capacity, DA/SA, the trigger jobs I've done are very good. I also own a Glock 17, but I prefer CZ's.

One each Hi-Power and Glock, six and a half (Kadet Kit) CZ's!

I have both and wouldn't get rid of either.

The CZ is slightly larger in every dimension, and in my opinion does not feel quite as graceful as the HP. If I couldn't have a HP I would get a single action only CZ.

I would like to get a double action Hi Power to see how it compares, but I've yet to encounter one at a price I'm willing to pay.

Ultimately, I'd vote for getting a CZ. When picking one out, keep in mind they have three different grips which are slightly different. The CZ 75B with DA/SA or a Decocker seems to have the longest trigger reach. The SAO frame some people find slightly more comfortable (I haven't held it, but think it has a higher beavertail). And finally they've also slightly reshaped the grip of the SP-O1 and P-01 to something I find the most comfortable.

My CZ and clones are more accurate than my BHPs, but BHP definitely prettier than CZ.

I'd like to shoot a Cz-75 SA before answering. I don't like DA/SA pistols as a rule. Been using a BHP clone for years.

I have a BHP and two CZ's. Its a hard choice between them, but my BHP is a little more accurate, so I would lean, slightly towards the BHP.

I really LOVE my HPs, and wanted to love a CZ75. Tried it and the DA trigger was just too much of a reach for comfort. Try one before you decide.

My CZ was probably THE most accurate gun I have ever owned. (And I used to have a Mark 23) Wasn't too fond of the trigger so I got rid of it, but boy was it a shooter.

I never warmed up to my BHP, probably because it was in 40SW. Tough to comment since I never shot one in 9mm.

I've owned a CZ for years, and just got a Hi Power recently. I'm in love with the BHP now, and really have no desire to shoot the CZ again. The balance of the BHP is much better in my opinion. I'd recommend sticking with what you know and presumably like.

CZ or BHP, eihter ways,
Old timers may be BHP.
Accuracy, both superb.
Reliability, both superb.
Ergo both excellent
BHP / CZ 85 with adjust. sight are match capable.

To sum up, on word,
Both.

Never shot a BHP, but do have an appreciation for my CZ-75b. Very first time I shot it, it put the whole mag in a group smaller than my fist at 20 yards. Grinned, said "She's a keeper!"

I would have to go with the BHP, in as much as the gun fits my hand perfectly. The CZ 75 is just a little too big overall for a comfortable grip.

For me, this is a very easy choice - the Browing HP is more refined, better balanced, easier to carry, and has fewer parts.

"The cz75 in .40 caliber already has an ambi safety"

Must be a new thing. To my knowledge, the only large framed CZ with an ambi is the 85 which comes in 9mm only. A CZ 75 in .40 with an ambi would be my chioce if this was available. I do wish they still made the CZ75 DAO.:(
