stretched newton/mauser hybrid action for a 505 gibbs build. shown beside a standard lr mauser action for comparison.

the top of the rear bridge will be moved back to take full advantage of the 4 1/8" long magwell. picture is photo-shoped to show how it will look when completed

Only have the one, a Sako AIII Finnbear, in .30-06
That's the largest rifle caliber that I shoot (other than .308 or 12ga), most of my shooting is pdogs or groundsquirrels.
Had a Marlin .444 & a .300 Win Mag for a bit, neither was much fun to shoot.
I have to comment after my mostly using bolt guns for the past 40 years, the Sako is the slickest bolt action I've ever used.
